The creators of the “House of the Dragon” are already in full swing developing a continuation of the project. Information about the production of the second season was shared by the portal Redanian Intelligence. Unnamed sources report that, in fact, “The House of the Dragon” has already been renewed for a second season, but the authors are in no hurry to officially announce this. Probably, the creators will do it closer to the premiere of the first season or even postpone important news until the final episode.
The words of Redanian Intelligence are confirmed by a February interview with The Hollywood Reporter with the head of content for HBO and HBO Max, Casey Bloys. Then Bloys said that the likelihood that the series will continue is very high. The content director noted that the HBO Max team usually gives projects some time after the premiere so that they can show themselves. Recall that the filming of the prequel to “Game of Thrones” was completed in mid-February 2022. The series is based on George Martin’s book Fire and Blood. The action will unfold 200 years before the events of the Game of Thrones, and the powerful Targaryen family will be in the center of the plot. The prequel will cover a tragic episode in the history of Westeros and will tell about the civil war due to the enmity between the two branches of House Targaryen.
