Thanks to the moderate success achieved with the Tormented Souls inspired by Resident Evilthe Dual Effect team looks to the future with confidence and plans the development of a new video game on Unreal Engine 5 that is already taking shape thanks also to an investment obtained by the Chilean government.
In an interview granted by the brothers Gabriel and Germán Araneda to the journalists of LaQuintaEmprende, the founders of Dual Effect discussed the entrepreneurial challenges faced to materialize, with the vision of a survival horror inspired by resident Resident Evil with Tormented Souls.
The dynamic Chilean developer duo reiterated their intention to stay in the creative groove traced by their latest project to shape their next video game using the most advanced tools of Unreal Engine 5 thanks to the funds obtained from CORFOa government body in Chile engaged in the promotion and support of the entrepreneurial activities of the South American country.
As the Araneda brothers themselves point out, “For us the help offered by CORFO has been incalculable, because it will allow us to continue developing quality video games in the future. Tormented Souls was created in Unity, a very advanced and effective engine for what we were creating, but with the our new video game we wanted to go further and for this we looked to Unreal Engine 5. Thanks to the computers we bought with the help of PAR (an investment program associated with the Chilean CORFO, ed)we now have the opportunity to work with this technology that will allow us to develop a product of international level “.
