New name, (almost) the same procedure: After the BIU (Federal Association of Interactive Entertainment Software) and GAME (Federal Association of the German Games Industry) have merged and are now known together as game company, the award for exceeding certain sales number limits has been given accordingly since publication game Sales Awards. In addition, counting is no longer per system, but the sales figures are taken as a basis across platforms.
In April 2022, the following titles cleared these significant hurdles:
game Sales Award Special prize for more than 500,000 games sold:
- Elden ring (Bandai Namco) for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, XSX & PC
game Sales Award in platinum for more than 200,000 games sold:
- Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (Warner) for PS4, PS5, XOne, XSX, Switch & PC
game Sales Award in gold for more than 100,000 games sold:
- Kirby and the forgotten land (Nintendo) for Switch
