Qualcomm has announced an event dedicated to the presentation of the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ mobile processor. On May 20, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 single-chip system will also debut.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ has several differences from the base model of the flagship chipset, which is actively used in modern devices. The main difference lies in the GPU, which will provide better performance. In this case, the central processor will remain unchanged.
TSMC is responsible for the production of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+. The basic version of the processor is produced at the facilities of the South Korean Samsung. It is noted that the first smartphone to receive an improved chipset will be the Moto Edge X30.
