Sony announced the imminent launch of a new PlayStation Plus service. In Europe, it can be tested starting June 23. The company also shared a preview of some of the games that will be available at launch. There will be 3 tariff plans with games to choose from: Essential, Extra and Premium/Deluxe.
Europe will receive an updated PlayStation Plus subscription will not be available in the first turn. Asia will open first on May 24th, with North and South America joining on June 13th.
Plans – Essentials, Extra and Premium
All plans will have monthly games available, just like current PlayStation Plus users. The “basic” Essentials plan is essentially a rebrand of the current PS Plus subscription – access to multiplayer and free game selections on a monthly basis (to be updated on the first Tuesday of each month).
At the same time, subscribers of the Extra and Premium plans will receive additional benefits. So, they will additionally have access to a catalog with popular games for PS4 and PS5 (including Ubisoft games (the companies announced a partnership), which will be included in more expensive plans as part of the Ubisoft+ Classics service).
