Yesterday afternoon, there was a rumor on the Web that Konami had commissioned the Polish studio Bloober Team (Layers of Fear, Observer) to work on a remake of Silent Hill 2. Although the information is a leak that may well turn out to be a “fake”, excited gamers began to bombard the pages Bloober Team on social networks with relevant questions. The studio is left with nothing else but comment situation.
In short, representatives of the Bloober Team did not either deny the rumor or confirm it, saying only that the company cannot comment on the projects that are in production within its walls, since it respects its partners. The developers will make relevant announcements as soon as they have the opportunity.

Most likely, a remake of Silent Hill 2 is indeed in production at the Bloober Team. This was accidentally (or “accidentally”) hinted at by the CEO of the studio, Pyotr Babeno, who said that the company is now actively working on two games, and one of them will be published by Konami. There is also a third project, but it is still in the embryonic stages of development – at the stage of pre-production.
