On the Chinese forum Chiphell, photos of the cooling system appeared, allegedly belonging to the reference version of the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti graphics accelerator. According to rumors, the GeForce RTX 40-series graphics cards will be based on the Ada Lovelace architecture.
According to the source of the photos, they show a huge heatsink of the future NVIDIA flagship. Visually, it is very similar to the cooler of the reference version of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition model, where there is no usual casing for the cooling system, but one large aluminum radiator with many fins and a pair of fans located on both sides.
The heat sink of the new generation video card has a larger pad for cooling the GPU and memory chips. The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti has a similar one, as shown in the photo below.
It looks like the reference versions of the GeForce RTX 40-series graphics cards will retain the V-shape of one of the PCB ends, which is used on the GeForce RTX 30-series models.
Other photos show the metal heatsink frames of the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti reference version. Unfortunately, the quality of the photos provided does not allow us to determine their authenticity.
It should be recalled that almost two years ago, even before the official announcement of the GeForce RTX 3080, a similar leak of photos of the cooling system for GeForce RTX 30 series video cards occurred on the Chinese Chiphell forum.
According to the latest rumors, the announcement of the GeForce RTX 4000 series of graphics accelerators is expected in mid-July this year. GeForce RTX 4090-class graphics cards will feature over 16,000 CUDA cores, 21Gbps GDDR6X memory, and 450W power consumption.
