ASUS continues to expand its range of laptops under the Republic of Gamers brand. The ROG Strix Scar 17 Special Edition and ROG Flow X16 laptops, based on the 12th generation Intel Core and AMD Ryzen 6000 series processors, will soon enter the market.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 SE is a 17.3-inch gaming laptop with top-end hardware. Its equipment includes an Intel Core i9-12950HX processor (16 cores / 24 threads), up to 64 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM and discrete graphics GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop with 175-watt TGP level. The cooling system is made on the basis of the evaporation chamber, and liquid metal from Thermal Grizzly is used as a thermal interface.
Buyers will have two options for IPS-matrix: with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 360 Hz, as well as 2560 x 1440 pixels and a frequency of 240 Hz. In both cases, Adaptive-Sync technology is supported. Notebook dimensions are 395 x 282.1 x 28.3 mm with a weight of 3 kg. In overseas stores, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 Special Edition gaming laptop will cost at least $ 3,500.
ASUS ROG Flow X16 belongs to the class of convertible laptops. It is equipped with a 16-inch IPS touch screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 165 Hz, with Mini-LED backlighting with 512 local dimming zones available as an option. Not without support for Adaptive-Sync technology.
In the top configuration, ROG Flow X16 is equipped with an 8-core AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor, 64 gigabytes of DDR5-4800 memory and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop video adapter with 125-watt TGP. Also worth noting is the support for external video cards of the XG Mobile family. The laptop measures 355 x 243 x 19.4 mm, weighs approximately 2.0-2.1 kg, and has an MSRP of $1,950.
