Google banned Belarusians from downloading and updating paid applications. Previously, the company made such a decision in relation to Russian users. On the official blog reportedthat free apps can be downloaded and updated in Google Play, as before. In this regard, developers can make their applications completely free.
Users in Belarus and Russia will receive an error message when trying to purchase an application or subscribe through the Google Play payment system. Purchases or subscriptions in free apps are not blocked. At the same time, already paid subscriptions in paid applications will be valid until the end of the current billing period.
Former company obligated developers to provide people with more information about how applications collect, share and protect user data. Developers must complete this section for their applications by July 20th. At the same time, the section is already open for users.
