A new version of Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate has been classified in Australia under the name Definitive Edition.
Warriors Orochi 3 is no longer a new title. It seems Koei Tecmo Games still has plans for the hack’n’slash game.
It’s been a long time since it was first published. Before almost 11 years Warriors Orochi 3 was first released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at the time. Various ports followed for other platforms, such as the PlayStation Portable or Wii U.
A little later, the game was then polished again for various Sony consoles and the Xbox One with the addition Ultimate and equipped with additional characters. The last port in the long journey of Warriors Orochi 3 then took place in the November 2017 for the Switch took place, just about a year before the release of its sequel, Warriors Orochi 4.
After almost five more years, a classification with another suffix has now appeared in Australia: Definitive edition. Whether this new entry in the rating tables is related to Koei’s corporate goals or is simply fan service cannot be said at this point in time.
There is also no information yet as to whether this edition will ever hit storefronts, whether it will be available in all parts of the world and which platforms it will serve. Patience is therefore required here until information flows through official bodies.
