Ahead of the premiere of the Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries, IGN published a video featuring Ewan McGregor reminiscing about his early days as a Padawan, not a Jedi Master.
The actor will never forget the moment when they brought him a box of lightsabers and offered to choose his own. But more than two decades have passed since the premiere of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. In the video, you can also see the training scenes for the duel scenes.
McGregor is very enthusiastic about the opportunity to once again don his Jedi robe and return to a galaxy far, far away (and has nothing against continuing the solo show). In addition, now he is much closer in age to Ben Kenobi, played by Alec Guinness, which allows him to rethink the image of his character.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will begin streaming on Disney+ on May 27.
