Story-driven adventure game Gerda: A Flame in Winter is coming to Switch and PC via Steam on September 1, publisher DONTNOD Entertainment and developer PortaPlay have announced.
This game is important to us because it is inspired by real world war 2 stories, including those of my grandmother. Together with Gerda, we hope we hope to share an accurate vision of some of the problems of the occupied population at that time and highlight that some people faced difficult choices that defied absolute judgment. Through this storytelling game, we hope to facilitate the sharing of testimonies. We know that during wars and occupations around the world, there are many stories of civilians that remain untold. And we’re glad we can tell at least one such story with Gerda: A Flame in Winter.
PortaPlay studio head Hans von Knut Skovfoged said in a press release.
Several new screenshots have also been released.
If you don’t like it, cool your fucking CFRP.
