Dontnod publishing house and PortaPlay studio announced the release date Gerda: A Flame in Winter is a narrative RPG set during World War II. The game will be available on PC and Nintendo Switch on September 1st.
Synopsis:
Denmark, February 1945. You are Gerda Larsen, a rural nurse, with a German father and a Danish mother. You live a quiet life with your husband Anders despite the war.
One day you are returning home from work, cycling through a heavy snowstorm. You notice blood at the entrance to your house and soon find that Anders has been arrested by the Gestapo. He left you important documents of the Resistance, and the lives of many Danes and Germans depend on your next actions. What are you going to do?
The developers claim that the plot of the game is inspired by real events. AT Gerda: A Flame in Winter several endings are announced, as well as an original role-playing system in which you will have to develop the personal qualities of Gerda herself.
