Cyberpunk 2077 is getting another much-needed mod that spices up V’s relationship with Judy Alvarez. It also includes the previously released cuddle option, available almost any time you’re both staying at her place.
Despite some strengths, Cyberpunk 2077 falls short in terms of how your relationship with the game’s love interests develops after completing special quest lines. For example, after your first night with Judy, you can still spend the night at her house in Kabuki at any time – although there is not much to do there. A brief repetitive conversation is the only thing available to the players, and Judy spends most of her time at home just standing by the window.
Modder Deceptious decided to change that with his Judy Romanced Enhanced mod, adding some variety to her everyday life. It adds several different states that Judy will be in when you later visit her apartment. Of course, she will still stop by her favorite window seat from time to time, but now she can also sit in the kitchen, take a shower, sleep in her bed or eat.
Better yet, the mod includes another popular mod that allows you to hug Judy when you talk to her. The hug animation is taken straight from the ending of Star, and it’s a bit of a curiosity why the developers didn’t allow players to hug their loved ones by default.
There are a few minor issues with the Judy Romanced Enhanced mod, including minor visual issues when saving or loading in her apartment, such as bugs in the character’s appearance, as well as some pop-up animations. It’s also worth noting how incredibly loose Judy’s schedule as a retired braindancer can seem—for example, she showers for two hours twice a day. However, it’s a lot better than what the original game has to offer.
