As it became known, ray tracing will bring better reflections and shadows to the world of Hitman 3. According to the authors, all locations in the project will benefit from this feature, but this technology is quite demanding on the system.
Hitman 3’s minimum and recommended system requirements for a ray-traced game are as follows:
Minimum requirements (1080p, medium quality ray tracing)
- OS: Windows 10 (build 21H1 or later);
- Processor: Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X;
- RAM: 8 GB;
- graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super or AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT;
- Optional: GeForce Game Ready Driver 512.59 (for NVIDIA graphics cards) or Radeon Software Adrenalin 22.5.3 (for AMD).
Recommended requirements (1440p, high quality ray tracing)
- OS: Windows 10 (build 21H1 or later);
- Processor: Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X;
- RAM: 16 GB;
- graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT;
- Optional: GeForce Game Ready Driver 512.59 (for NVIDIA graphics cards) or Radeon Software Adrenalin 22.5.3 (for AMD).

Along with ray tracing, the PC version of Hitman 3 will support adaptive supersampling NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0, which the authors recommend to smooth out the effect of ray tracing on performance.
For the minimum configuration, the developers offer a performance mode in NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR, and for the recommended system requirements, a balanced setting.

Finally, to significantly increase the frame rate, you can reduce the quality of ray tracing – this will lead to less detailed reflections and periodic popping of small objects.
Ray tracing and support for smart scaling technologies will make their way to Hitman 3 on PC with the release of content update 3.11 next week – the patch will be released on May 24th.
