In recent months there has been a great rumor of the probable publication of a remake of the first The Last Of Us for PlayStation 5, almost 10 years after its launch. For the occasion, let’s retrace the settings of the first chapter of the series and its successor.

Where is The Last Of Us set?
The story of the first chapter tells of Joel and Ellie’s journey through the United States of America, in search of the headquarters of the organization known as Luci. To make the journey feel better, The Last Of Us is set in many different locations: it starts from the city of Bostonquarantine area controlled by the paramilitary forces of the FEDRA, and then continue through the towns of Lincoln And Pittsburghup to the city of Jacksonin Wyoming, where Tommy, Joel’s brother lives.
Broken down by Jackson, the two protagonists make a stop at Eastern Colorado University it’s at Salt Lake City in Utah: here they will finally find the Lights, and in the hospital of the city Joel will make the terrible decision that will then create the narrative conditions for the second chapter.
Where is The Last Of Us 2 set?
The second chapter of the series reduces the number of proposed locations, reducing it to four (excluding Salt Lake City which is present for a short section in a narrative flashback). The story begins in Jackson, where Ellie and Joel finally live peacefully. The action then shifts to Seattle, in the US state of Washington, the city that is the backdrop to the vast majority of the events in the game. Close to Seattle is theisland of Havenseat of the faction of the Seraphites and the clashes of the latter with the WLF.
