Apple has notified key suppliers of its intention to expand production of gadgets outside of China.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Apple has been considering moving production outside of China for several years, but the company has put those plans on hold due to the pandemic.
First of all, Apple wants to diversify the production of gadgets in order to reduce its dependence on China due to political risks.
It is worth noting that some Apple devices are already manufactured in Vietnam and India, but the vast majority of gadgets are produced by Foxconn and Pegatron factories in China. Further expansion will see all iPhones soon be made in India and then exported for sale worldwide.
