The US Federal Trade Commission plans to tighten advertising laws. Thus, the authorities propose to introduce liability for the publication of positive reviews on various products from bloggers and influencers, in which the real information about the product is distorted.
Sanctions are planned to be imposed on content producers and on sites where reviews that violate advertising laws will be posted.
The changes have already been submitted to the US Federal Register. The Trade Commission expects comments on these amendments to the law in the next 60 days.
