Fans of stories about alien monsters spawned by Ridley Scott’s cult horror may have to wait years for new films, but in other formats, the franchise grows and develops almost non-stop. Last year, graphic novels from the Alien universe were taken up by artists and writers from Marvel – and soon the team promises to release a “soft” restart.
In a fresh press release, it is reported that a new series will start in August, which will be opened by a comic ALIEN #1. Responsible for its plot Phillip Kennedy Johnsonwho previously wrote the first Marvel stories about xenomorphs, and will take up drawing Julius Oota. The first issue has already got a cover drawn by Bjorn Barends – rate lower.
The “new season” itself was given the general name ALIEN: ICARUS, and in it readers will get acquainted with a special detachment of synthetics. In search of a new habitat for Earthlings, they arrive on the planet Tobler-9 and find there… well, you can guess what it is.
