EVE Online is still lively after 19 years and is not afraid of technical innovations. The MMO from CCP Games can now also be played via browser.
EVE Online has released a new feature to the general public. While the space MMO was previously only playable using a client, there is now the option of playing the title in the browser via cloud gaming. Previously, this EVE Anywhere-named feature was only available to paid Omega subscriptions, but now free-to-play players can access it too.
According to the developer, EVE Anywhere was produced in close cooperation with Intel and gives you the opportunity to play the game in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge browsers. It doesn’t matter whether you’re playing on a PC or tablet.
However, this additional flexibility does not come free of charge. Alpha players can unlock 24 hours’ worth of EVE Anywhere in exchange for 30 PLEX, the in-game currency. That’s about $1.50 for 24 hours of browser access.
CCP Games has released the fourth and final quadrant for EVE Online in 2020, Phoenix.
