Insomniac Games is not only working on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Wolverine, the company is also planning a multiplayer game for PlayStation 5, apparently, however, the game in question would be a new IP and is not linked in any way to the Resistance series, unlike what was assumed in the past.
Insomniac is looking for an Art Director to work on the art direction of a new multiplayer project and assist the team in the planning and pre-production phase of a new IP. The studio mentions precisely the desire to create a new multiplayer intellectual property, therefore the new project will not be linked to famous franchises and in this sense we can exclude a multiplayer version of Resistance.
Hard to say when we will see this title since, as mentioned, the priority for Insomniac Games at the moment seems to be to launch Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in 2023 and Marvel’s Wolverine in 2024the multiplayer game could therefore arrive at a later time, the project still seems to be in the pre-production phase or in any case planning, a launch in the short term is absolutely excluded.
