Today we already wrote that the state, represented by the Internet Development Institute, provided 260 million rubles of funding for the development of the domestic role-playing action game Troubles. The studio Cyberia Limited will be responsible for the development, which has no projects behind it yet, but slides from the design document have appeared on the network (thanks @roadtoray). And judging by them, the title is still very lucky if it reaches AA status.
It’s worth starting with the fact that, according to the pitch (proposal), now the team includes only three people named by name. All of them have already worked in the gaming industry in the past, so they have some experience:

It is curious that it was immediately noted that the studio did not make a single project for 5 years of work, but released 7 prototypes on Unity and drew art for 10 projects as an outsource team.
There are also several interface examples in the document. True, they are more reminiscent of some kind of browser project or mobile title:

Naturally, all these are just concepts – it is rare that at least something from this stage survives to the final result. Moreover, even for 260 million rubles, the design can definitely be done much better.
The slide describing the game says that Troubles should be released initially on Xbox One and PS4, and only then on PC. The priority is rather strange. As an example, the developers suggest looking at The Witcher 3 and the Assassin’s Creed series.
Here is a list of key features. Among them, attention is drawn to the “combo system with almost two buttons.” And the correct use of skills will help the hero win the tasks – in fact, these are missions designed for certain skills. The developers also intend to present real historical locations. Well, there will be customization of weapons with the help of gems.
By the way, the gameplay will include the ability to rob caravans. Finally, the dream came true.
Also in “Trouble” there will be duty types of tasks, including killing bosses, holding positions, go-bring, capture, and more:
Want to take a look at Miloslavsky, for whom you will play? And here he is. Whether wide or high is not clear from these sketches. It can only be seen that his hand fell into the shield.
And here are a couple of other charming characters:
There are also sales expectations for the project. They are clearly very high, especially given the current situation. For the first 2-3 months, the pessimistic sales plan is less than 500,000 copies. For comparison, such numbers are gaining very successful titles.
The realistic forecast of the developers is 1 million copies in the first quarter. There are also plans to release two DLCs.
Full version of the document can be downloaded here. It’s worth noting that this isn’t the worst pitch-doc I’ve ever seen, but it doesn’t feel like it’s a project from the heart.
