Development Beyond Good and Evil 2 still going and Ubisoft calls it “one of his most ambitious games to date”.
This conclusion can be drawn from recent messages Ubisoft Barcelonawho is currently looking for a Senior Gameplay Animator for the project. The new specialist will be responsible for animation quality and functionality of gameplay systems.
At the end of last year Tom Henderson said that the development of Beyond Good & Evil 2 is in a deep crisis – the situation was further aggravated after the departure of Michel Ancel in September 2020. At the same time, many developers allegedly believe that the production of the game will be officially frozen. But already in March of this year, the same Henderson announced that Ubisoft was preparing a large-scale presentation, in which it would demonstrate about 20 games – one of them would be Beyond Good & Evil 2. And according to BloombergBeyond Good & Evil 2 is still in pre-production after at least 5 years of development.
