It looks like Viggo Mortensen lives in a different universe or doesn’t follow the news at all. It turns out that the actor who played Aragorn has not heard that Amazon is filming a show about the second era of Middle-earth.
It became known from his interview The Hollywood Reporter. We are talking about a series of films for which the actor is best known. The trilogy is still very close to the actor, but he does not follow Middle-earth itself.
When asked what he thinks about the show from Amazon and whether he will watch it, he was surprised:
What is it? TV show? Is it from Apple or something else?
When he was reminded that this was an Amazon show and would be the most expensive show in history, he said he would watch it. True, he did not know what material he was filmed on. The journalist recalled that the action takes place thousands of years before Frodo’s campaign in Mordor, and Isildur will appear in the show.
The first episode of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will air on September 2nd.
