Creators The Lord of the Rings: Gollum announced that Gollum’s adventure in Middle-earth would begin on the first day of autumn, September 1, on PS5 and PS4, Xbox Series and Xbox One, and on PC. The game will also be coming to Switch later this year.
Developers from Daedalic Entertainment describe the game as an action-adventure stealth game with “an intriguing split personality mechanic” and extensive levels in Tolkien’s own aesthetic, as the game’s visuals are based on the writer’s drawings.
The plot of the game will begin with the fact that Gollum is kept imprisoned in the fortress of Barad-dur, but the Daedalic team promises to show Middle-earth in all its glory, so the matter will not be limited to Mordor alone.
The hero who is looking for his charm will have to get past the orcs, elves and more. In the process, you will need to choose solutions depending on the preference of one of the hero’s personalities – it can be made more evil or vice versa.
