The invasion of the Russian army in Ukraine had a negative impact, among other things, on the creation of the long-awaited action game STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl: the developers from the Kyiv studio GSC Game World were forced to move to Prague to ensure their own safety.
The move somewhat slowed down the pace of development, but now the Polish portal GRYonline.pl has contacted the authors, who clarified how the creators of the project are currently doing.
GSC Game World responded that now the team has returned to their usual work, and the process of creating a project is in full swing.
The game has a rather difficult fate: for the past decade, the sequel to the cult series has been created, then closed, even the developer studio itself was closed for a while. After the revival of the latter and the announcement of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the release of the game was planned in April of this year, but in the winter it was announced that the release would have to be postponed to December 8, 2022. The second part of “Stalker” will be available initially only on PC and Xbox Series.
