Network users drew attentionthat in Russian Steam returned part of the projects from different publishers, including Rockstar, Ubisoft and Techland.
This is noteworthy in that companies previously suspended the sale of their games in Russia, and now their individual projects can be purchased without using a VPN in rubles. True, not everything is so simple – some games are not displayed in the search, although you can find them, for example, through sales pages or lists of series.
But the own stores of the same Ubisoft and Rockstar remain inaccessible to Russian users.
Another difficulty is that not all games can be added to the basket – the price may simply not be displayed. For example, this is true for some projects Square Enix and EASame Battlefield 2042. But there are no such problems with Ubisoft games.
What caused this move is not clear, but perhaps the publishers simply updated the pages of their projects in connection with sales or some other goals, but did not have time to disable access to purchases for users from Russia.
