Microsoft is said to have turned down a deal for the remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
Last September, a remake of the cult RPG Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was announced.
The new edition is being implemented by the development studio Aspyr Media. A release will initially take place exclusively on the Playstation 5, as the developer recently confirmed.
However, it is not known how long the exclusivity will last.
The remake might also have appeared on Xbox consoles first. But Microsoft is said to have rejected a deal for the new version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
In any case, this is the claim made by Mr Matty Plays (477,000 subscribers on YouTube) in a new video and refers to reliable sources.
If Microsoft actually turned down a deal, that would be crazy and a little sad. Because the game was released in July 2003 for the first Xbox console and in September for the PC. It never came out for PlayStation.
Microsoft could have brought Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic back to its original console home.
It would be interesting to learn why Microsoft didn’t strike a deal, assuming the rumor is true.
