Apple reminded developers that a new App Store rule comes into effect on June 30, which requires developers to implement a quick account deletion mechanism in applications.
This option should appear in all services that allow you to create accounts. At the same time, the corresponding button should be in a prominent place, and when deleting an account, all personal data of the user should also be deleted.
Apple first announced this change at WWDC 2021 in June 2021. Initially, it was planned to introduce it on January 31, 2022, but then the date was postponed.
In addition, from June 30, a rule will come into force, according to which applications offering paid online group services (master classes, webinars, etc.) can use their own payment system. Apple has delayed this innovation three times since 2020.
Previously, Apple allowed app developers in the App Store to increase the price of a subscription when it is renewed without immediately obtaining the user’s consent. At the same time, developers will still have to send a notification to the user by mail or in the form of push.
