Waiting for news on the arrival of the expansion of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED celebrates the conclusion of the fiscal year 2021-2022 with a series of encouraging results.
Following the publication of the next-gen version of its ambitious RPG, the Polish software house has in fact been able to observe an increase in profits deriving from the epic set in Night City. According to what was reported by the CEO Adam Kicinskiin particular, the debut of Cyberpunk 2077 up PlayStation 5 And Xbox Series X | S it would improve public perceptions of the quality of the game. Consequently, especially on consoles, the last quarter of the fiscal year (between January and March 2022) recorded positive sales figures for the GDR.
To confirm this quite clearly, are the numbers shared by the team. Between January 1 and February 14, 2022, most of the sales of Cyberpunk 2077 it was about the PC version. With the launch of the next-gen update on February 15, 2022however, overall sales of the title doubled, with the majority made on PlayStation 5 and with a “significant portion“on Xbox Series X.
A starting point that could give CD Projekt RED hope in view of the future launch of further DLCs and the long-awaited expansion of Cyberpunk 2077.
