“Jurassic World Evolution 2” will receive a new download package to match the upcoming movie. The first information and a trailer are available.
After a previous leak in the Steam database, Frontier Developments has officially announced the expansion “Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn”. It will be released on June 14, 2022 at a price of 19.99 euros for consoles and PC.
Dominion Biosyn features a new campaign featuring characters like Claire Dearing, Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler and Lewis Dodgson make an appearance. In the gameplay, players are tasked with building a new research facility and digging up rare genomes in Amber Mines using a new feature. With this they are able to create feathered prehistoric species.
New invisible fences, in turn, offer a solution to resident containment and control, while a transportation system gives players the ability to move staff around their parks.
Added Chaos Theory mode
Also new to Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn is Chaos Theory mode, which features a new “what if” scenario inspired by the events of Jurassic World Dominion. Here, too, you have to build your own facility to house dinosaurs and ensure their safety.
“The Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn expansion also includes a number of new dinosaur variants and skins inspired by Jurassic World Dominion, including the strikingly feathered and scarred Tyrannosaurus Rex, new skins for Dilophosaurus and Parasaurolophus, and variants for the giant Dreadnoughtus and the fearsome Giganotosaurus,” the creators said in today’s press release.
The premium expansion will be released in parallel with a free update that offers existing players a number of new functions. New dinosaur-hunting mechanics are designed to give players the ability to quickly tame herds of dinosaurs without having to stun and transport them. Also, players can play the Chaos Theory maps as challenge mode levels, and the dinosaur transport has been improved.
