The memory of Killzone still beats strong in the hearts of many fans, even after the success of the Horizon series thanks to the two adventures of Aloy.
Following the transition to the new IP, the developers of Guerrilla Games have progressively moved away from the world of the shooter saga, which has not counted on a new chapter for some time now. However, according to some interesting rumors, the situation could change relatively soon.
Specifically, the well-known YouTube channel of PSVR Without Words has recently spread an intriguing indiscretion online, according to which Killzone he would be ready to come back up PlayStation 5 with a Virtual Reality game. Killzone VRthe source says, it was initially entrusted to Supermassive Games (former authors of The Quarry), with a launch scheduled for PlayStation VR. According to what was reported by the insider, however, Sony would not have been particularly satisfied with the results obtained by the software house, and would then have decided to transfer the project to an internal team. The whole, concludes the source, would then be moved up PlayStation VR 2.
At the moment, of course, there are no official confirmations in this regard, but it will certainly be interesting to observe what will be the announcements of the next PlayStation State of Play, which will include a session dedicated to the new Sony viewer.
