Microsoft has officially confirmed that it is working on a low-cost TV box to run games from the Xbox Cloud Gaming cloud service.
“As announced last year, we are working on a game streaming device, codenamed Keystone, that can be connected to any TV or monitor. We have made the decision to retire the current version of the Keystone device. We will take the knowledge gained and focus our efforts on a new approach that will allow us to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to more players around the world in the future, ”said a Microsoft representative in an interview with Windows Central reporters.
Earlier this month, GamesBeat revealed that Microsoft’s new console will provide access not only to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate game library, but also to movies and other entertainment content.
Microsoft is expected to announce a new TV box this summer.
