In iOS 15.6 Beta 2, Apple fixed a bug that caused the Apple Music app to install directly into the dock when redownloaded from the App Store.
In early May, iPhone users noticed a strange iOS bug that replaced third-party apps in the dock with Apple Music when re-downloading the proprietary player from the App Store. In some cases, the Apple Music app has replaced Spotify in the dock, and in others, even the native Camera, Mail, and Safari apps.
The issue was present in both iOS 15.4.1 and iOS 15.5. With the release of iOS 15.6, Apple will eliminate it.
