James Wan took on another horror movie – the famous producer decided that the world needed a remake of 1990’s Arachnophobia. Wang himself will act as an executive producer of the film, and Christopher Landon, best known for his “Happy Death Day” dilogy, has been approved as director and screenwriter.
No details about the horror yet. It is only known that the director of the original film, Frank Marshall, will also act as a producer of the remake.
Comedy horror “Fear of spiders” (Arachnophobia) was released in 1990 and was dedicated to Dr. Ross Jennings, in whose town deadly spiders appeared. The main role in it was played by Jeff Daniels, and the tape itself eventually gained a cult status.
By the way, scientists from the University of California recently discovered a new species of parasitic nematode worms that infect and kill tarantulas. They were named Tarantobelus jeffdanielsi – just in honor of the actor Jeff Daniels and his role in “Fear of Spiders”.
