After the massive leak of the upcoming fighting game “Street Fighter 6”, Capcom spoke up. In addition, some scenes from the closed alpha have appeared.
Capcom finally lifted the curtain last week and presented the first extensive trailer for the upcoming fighting game “Street Fighter 6”. In this one you could see well-known fighters like Ryu and Chun-Li as well as the young wild ones Luke and Jamie in action.
Nobody should see that yet
However, a leak had already revealed much more than Capcom would like. Among other things, the complete squad with a total of 22 fighters was named and shown using artwork. Even though the publisher tried to contain the leak, the information spread like wildfire within the community. In the meantime, Capcom has also spoken out about the leak reported:
“As residents of Metro City, we’ve all seen things we’re not supposed to see, but we’re all in this together. We appreciate all the positive reactions. Thank you for your support!
Capcom has more or less confirmed that the leaked information is true. So you can look forward to some more World Warriors like Zangief, Dhalsim, E.Honda, Blanka, Guile or Ken. The latter in particular received an optical revision that surprised the fans. Instead of his red kumite, he’s wearing a jacket and looking a bit beat up.
However, you will also be offered some completely new faces. In addition to Jamie, Marisa, Mimi, Lilly, JP, Kimberly and AKI will also make their debuts. One can at least be curious as to what fighting styles they will use. As you could already see in the first trailer, Jamie will put the opponents in their place with Drunken Kung-Fu.
Incidentally, the first gameplay from the closed alpha has also appeared, showing us Cammy and Ken, among others. However, the video quality leaves a lot to be desired.
