Deadline journalists told about the next replenishment of the cast of “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” by James Gunn. As it became known, Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova played one of the key roles in the film.
Bakalova gained world fame after the role of Tutar Sagdiyeva, the daughter of Borat Sagdiev in the film “Borat 2”. For the role, the actress, by the way, was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
Curiously, news about fresh faces in the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 continues to appear after the completion of filming. Earlier, journalists said that Daniela Melshior (“Suicide Squad: Mission Through”) played in the film.
By the way, James Gunn himself previously said that another unannounced actor starred in the film. According to Deadline, this is neither Bakalova nor Melshior.
The details of the plot of the third “Guardians of the Galaxy” are still unknown. The film will feature Adam Warlock, who was teased in a post-credits scene in the second film. Villain will play Will Poulter. Other characters have not yet been revealed.
Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is set to release on May 4, 2023.
