A report published on the pages of Exputer and signed by the well-known insider Tom Henderson, states that Microsoft has plans several announcements for Thursday 9 June which will be unveiled before the opening show of the Summer Game Fest. Among these there is, apparently, also a service that includes demos for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
According to information shared by Henderson, this service should compete with the time trials of PlayStation Plus Premium, Sony’s new subscription coming this month in Italy. Apparently will be launched next year for Game Pass subscribers and the initial goal will be to help independent game developers around the world.
Developers who decide to join the initiative will receive the data necessary for the development of the demos and will come rewarded by Microsoftbut Henderson is not in possession of precise information on this last point.
Deep Throat says Microsoft will also announce an extension of the partnership with Samsung, thanks to which players will be able to play Xbox titles on their smart TVs via Cloud Gaming, therefore without using a PC or an Xbox console. It seems there will also be other minor announcements, such as the landing of xCloud in other countries around the world.
Tom Henderson states that the aforementioned announcements will be made within hours before the opening show of the Summer Game Fest 2022which we remind you will take place on Thursday 9 June at 20:00 Italian time.
As usual, we recommend taking similar rumors with a grain of salt, as they do not have official confirmation. That said, Henderson is a pretty reliable source of information, so we will no doubt remain vigilant for any news from Microsoft.
Staying on the subject, today Henderson also stated that Hideo Kojima’s new game is called Overdose and that it will be unveiled at the Summer Game Fest.
