The Samsung Gaming Hub app launches on June 30, 2022 in Germany and will include the Xbox Game Pass service for TV devices.
Yesterday we reported that Samsung and Microsoft have partnered to integrate the Xbox app, giving full access to Xbox Game Pass games.
The gaming hub will be launched on June 30, 2022 in Germany on 2022 Samsung TVs, including the 2022 Neo QLED 8K TV, Neo QLED 4K TVs, QLEDs2 TVs and the 2022 Smart Monitor series.
For the gaming performance you need, Samsung’s 2022 models have been further tuned and enhanced to deliver low latency, immersive visual graphics, and crisp, fluid motion and gameplay.
“Xbox shares our vision and commitment to bringing an immersive game streaming experience into the home, making it an important partner for Samsung,” said Won-Jin Lee, President and Head of Service Business Team at Samsung Electronics GmbH. “I am very pleased that we are further deepening our cooperation with the expansion of the Xbox app to the Samsung Gaming Hub. Through this cooperation, our Smart TV customers will have access to hundreds of games via Xbox Game Pass. Whether they choose to stream games, live sports or movies, we make it easy for them to access their favorite content.”
“We want to make the passion and joy of gaming accessible to everyone in the world. Bringing the Xbox app to smart TVs is another step in making our vision a reality,” said Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming. “That’s why we’re so excited to partner with Samsung, a global leader in TVs, to bring Xbox to even more people. Working with Samsung helps us to further simplify our games and welcome new players to our vibrant community.”
Access is very simple: just start the Xbox app on the Samsung TV, log in with the Microsoft account data and off you go. Any controller can be linked via Bluetooth and off you go.
