In addition to Legendary, the film will be produced by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, who worked on the Cobra Kai series. Another producer will be Jean-Julien Baronnet, who worked on the adaptation of Assassin’s Creed.
The film does not yet have a scriptwriter and director, as well as a release date. Gearbox had previously planned to launch a film adaptation of Duke Nukem with Paramount and starring John Cena, but the project was put on hold.
The original Duke Nukem came out in 1991. In May 2022, a Duke Nukem Forever gameplay video from the 2001 build appeared online.
