Bethesda was clear about it: Starfield will not have the dubbing, therefore the protagonist will not speak during the dialogues, a precise choice of the developers which, however, does not seem to have completely convinced the community, so much so that in these hours a petition has been launched for ask for the Italian dubbing of Starfield.
There petition open on Change.org immediately clarifies the intent of the request: “We kindly ask for the chance to play Bethesda’s next title “Starfield”, fully voiced in Italian. The lack of dubbing in Italian will really make itself felt in the game, being used to enjoying your titles in our language. This lack will surely affect the total immersion in the game world.“
At the moment over 500 Italian players have joined the petition, however, it is difficult for Bethesda to change her mind about it since, as mentioned, the protagonist will not be voiced during the dialogues, this obviously does not mean that other characters will not speak, even if Bethesda has not been very clear about it. This is a very specific choice to move away from what we saw in Fallout 4 and return to the origins of games like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls.
Starfield will be released in 2023 on Xbox Series X / S and PCthe game is still without a precise launch date, however, there is talk of a debut ideally expected in the first months of next year.
