An enthusiastic developer has released a demo version of his own remaster of the cult beatemap Streets of Rage 2. He called the project New Era.
The peculiarity of the remaster is that it works on a PC without the help of any emulator. Thus, the craftsman was able to add new levels, characters, high quality effects and HD graphics to the game.
You can download Streets of Rage 2 New Era from the official site developer. The file size is 77 MB.
More recently, Dotemu and Playdigious have released Streets of Rage 4 on mobile devices. In this version of the fighting game, the interface has been redesigned, support for MFicontrollers controllers and cloud saves on iOS has been added.
