With the release of over watch in 2016, the team shooter from blizzard attracted numerous fans. Especially in the cosplay community, the various heroes have become a popular template for costumes. Before the launch of Overwatch 2 the number of cosplays from the world of the Blizzard shooter has of course also increased. This includes Usaname, who presented her Tracer outfit in the Reddit forum.
Tracer is ready for Overwatch 2
In the predecessor was Lexa Oxton aka Tracer to the titular heroine of Overwatch. Her special ability is this manipulation of space-time, allowing her to travel back a few seconds. Perfect for undoing damage received from enemies. Responsible for that is chrono accelerator, which she wears on her body. This device was manufactured by Overwatch colleague Winston. Usaname’s cosplay, however, does not require a chrono accelerator.
So while time travel isn’t possible for now, the artist has accommodated many other elements of the Tracer outfit. This includes distinctive items of clothing of the costume, such as the pilot jacket or the orange leggings the Overwatch heroine. Overwatch 2 brings many changes
A few days ago Blizzard about the Future of Overwatch 2 spoken. Among other things, the team shooter will be available as a Free2Play title in the future. Instead of loot boxes, there is a Battle Pass that changes with the start of a new season (every nine weeks). New heroes, game modes and maps are also part of Overwatch 2. The PvP part of the title is scheduled to be released on October 4, 2022 to start. The new PvE content will follow in 2023.
