As we have reported on these pages, many players have reported that a bug prevents them from completing Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic on Switch. While waiting for the development team to distribute a corrective patch, Aspyr Media has provided users with a very unique method of fixing the problem.
The study updated players on the complicated situation, and revealed that there is a way to overcome the bug: use the cheat menu. In this way it will be possible to teleport beyond the place where the crash occurs which currently prevents you from continuing in the adventure.
“For now, the workaround we suggest is to get past the point where the game crashes by using the cheat menu. To do this, triple click the left stick, open the cheat menu, select” warp “and switch to OND504. Make sure you don’t head to the trading district, as the game will crash”. Aspyr is working on a permanent solutionbut at the moment we don’t know when the patch will arrive.
Discussions on the subject have led players to believe that the Switch version of Star Wars KOTOR 2 will experience a systematic crash once the Onderon incident arrives, however it was confirmed by a spokesperson for the software house that it was only reported “a small number” of cases.
In the meantime Aspyr Media continues to deal with Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Remake, expected in an exclusive time on PlayStation 5 and on PC.
