Confirmed in April blizzard Rumors of another Classic expansion for World of Warcraft. Specifically, this is about World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic. However, not much was known about the return of the Northrend continent. Now, however, there is some new information on what players can expect in the Classic expansion. In a blog post, the team behind the expansion spoke primarily about the changes from the original in the year 2008 released update for World of Warcraft.
More difficult dungeons for expansion
First of all, it was announced that the difficulty level of the expansion had been tightened on several points. For example, according to Blizzard, the heroic dungeons were being worked on to make them more challenging than the original.
The same applies to the fortress Naxxaramas, in which the degree of difficulty should also be increased significantly. For this purpose, the health and damage of the monsters in the stronghold will be increased. After the area had been simplified too much in 2008 compared to 2006 from Blizzard’s point of view, an attempt was made to correct this in the classic version.
Items and Raids in Wrath of the Lich King Classic
To create a more consistent experience for the player base, the system for items and raid lockouts has been carried over from Trial of the Crusader. In the original Wrath of the Lich King, the system kept changing. You don’t want to go down this path for the Classic version. Some minor changes were already known before the blog post.
That’s how it will be in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King (buy now ) Classic, for example, no longer give a dungeon browser. All in all, Blizzard, a company that is currently very often criticized, was willing to consider and implement significantly more changes than for the original World of Warcraft Classic.
