After the presentation of the new gameplay of the sci-fi horror The Callisto Protocol, several gaming portals interviewed the head of the Striking Distance studio-developer Glenn Scofield. From them it became known that the upcoming game will be larger than Dead Space, and players should prepare for frequent hand-to-hand combat. Scofield also shared some additional details in an interview with Game Infomer the other day.
In a video interview, the boss of Striking Distance was asked 83 questions about the future of horror. One of them touched upon such an aspect of the game as the number of types of opponents. Scofield replied that there would only be about 10 or 11 of them. Unfortunately, he did not specify whether bosses were included in this number or not. It is also worth clarifying that, most likely, the convict enemies presented in the latest gameplay trailer with different body shapes are of the same type. But the enemy spewing acid at the end of the video is already a representative of a different type.
In addition, Scofield was asked questions regarding weapons, battles in space, the main character and much more, including comparing his future game with other projects (and not only) in terms of the level of fear. You can find his answers, as well as other questions in the video.
The Callisto Protocol will release on December 2, 2022 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
