Valve has announced the start of the Dota 2 Short Film Contest.
“Entries for the annual Dota 2 video contest have opened. To apply, submit a video no longer than 90 seconds in the Dota 2 workshop by 01:00 September 5, 2022 Moscow time.
We invite fans of the game from all over the world look into the workshop and participate in voting and discussions – this is how you help us determine the best shorts that will be shown during streams from The International 2022. After reviewing the ratings and discussions of works in the Workshop, we nominate the best of them for the final vote in the game client.
In recognition of their contribution to the community, the top ten entries in the final vote are guaranteed a prize of $500, while the top three are guaranteed $25,10,000 and $5,000, respectively,” the announcement reads.
In 2021, animator Maxime Lebled won the competition for the fourth time with his short film Carried Away.
