While video cards are rapidly becoming cheaper all over the world, colleagues from 3DCenter decided to compare their current prices with their own performance and calculate based on this how much they should cost. Colleagues calculated the price / performance ratio based on their 4K index, taking into account a large list of video card reviews.
In the end, it turned out that the RTX 3090 graphics cards currently have the worst real price in relation to its performance, but there are also solutions that have already matched when compared between real and “fair” price. This is how the data for NVIDIA video cards looks like.
And this is how it is for AMD Radeon video cards.
There is only one thing that can be said with absolute certainty. Video card manufacturers should lower their prices in the near future, but unfortunately neither NVIDIA nor AMD are going to do so at the moment. At least the companies have not officially announced this.
