Isonzo continues to show itself in video and in this case it does so with an overview of the splendid ones Dolomitesevidently reproduced to perfection as a spectacular setting for some of the bloodiest clashes of the First World War.
The video consists of a “flyover” on what appears to be a map set right in the Dolomites and in particular on the Italian front near South Tyrol. The iconic ones are clearly visible Three peaks of Lavaredoa true symbol of the most famous Italian Alps, but the reconstruction of the surrounding areas also seems very accurate.
On the other hand, the natural wonder of this area has witnessed some of the most heinous clashes in the WWI, with the front line that passed between Monte Paterno, Forcella Lavaredo, Tre Cime and Forcella Col di Mezzo. It is quite evident how Blackmill Games has carried out accurate surveys of the territory in question, perhaps also using some photogrammetry system, given the fidelity with which it has reconstructed the plateau and the surrounding areas.
A few days ago, during the Summer of Games 2022, the release date of Isonzo was also announced with a new trailer, set for the September 13, 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S. Isonzo stands as a sort of sequel to Verdun and Tannenberg, taking up the theme of the First World War but shifting the focus completely on the Italian side of the Great War, between the Italian and Austrian armies.
The shooter also features a new character class system, high-flying battles with historically accurate techniques, artillery to use, and more.
