More than a year after the announcement, Square Enix took advantage of the media coverage of the new Nintendo Direct Mini to re-present it to the world Dragon Quest Treasuresconfirming its arrival on Switch later this year.
When it announced it in May last year, Square Enix chose not to disclose the target platforms. Now we know that it is spin off of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of a Lost Age will be released on Nintendo Switch on December 6, 2022. At the moment there were no other confirmed platforms.
The story of this spin-off is centered on Erik and his sister Mia, who live aboard a Viking ship dreaming of exploring the world in search of precious treasures. One night they run into Misha and Suyn, two bizarre creatures, and as if by magic they find themselves in the legendary Draconia. In this magical place the two brothers will be able recruit hordes of monsters meek like Slime and Vampistrelli, and use their skills to find precious objects, run as fast as the wind, climb steep rock walls and overcome very deep abysses.
